Tuesday, June 5  Joerg Klauck of the Pour Boys on The Feast of the Fields

A premier event in the Valley for food lovers, the Feast of the Field offers a four course dinner prepared by the finest chefs in the Valley.  Seating is limited and advance reservations are required.  Call Lareau Farm for reservations at 496-4949.

Tuesday, June 12  Jeff Roberts, author of The Atlas of American Artisan Cheese

Jeff's recently published book has been called a "new kind of travel guide" by New York Times writer Marion Burros.  In the book Jeff profiles over 350 cheesemakers in the US.  You can buy the book from your local, independent bookstore or direct from the publisher, Chelsea Green.

See Jeff and learn more about the book at a special cheese tasting at La Brioche in Montpelier on June 19th at 6pm or at the Montpelier Farmer's Market on Saturday, June 23 at the Lazy Lady Cheese booth.

Tuesday, June 19  Beth Mullin, farm intern at Three Shephards Cheese/AgInnovations

Beth is going to be a senior at Sterling College in Craftsbury this fall.  She is majoring in Sustainable Agriculture and hope someday to own her own farm.  Over the past two summers she interned on vegetable farms in Vermont and Massachusetts and this summer decided to work in a different farm setting learning how to make artisan cheese and helping manage the Faillace's new vineyard on Roth Road.  Beth is an impressive young woman and gives me great hope for the future!
